Escape to the seaside with your loved one or a friend, and stay at this delightful, contemporary bolthole in the pretty town of Southwold. Spend days on the beach or wandering coastal walks, before having a relaxing evening dining alfresco in your own private courtyard at this attractive apartment.

Set over one level, this stylish studio has been thoughtfully designed to maximise space while still containing everything you will need. The open-plan living space has high, beamed ceilings and large windows allow light to flood in, making the space bright and airy. Rustle up tasty meals in the well-equipped kitchenette and enjoy eating together at the dining table. Cosy up on the sofas and watch movies of an evening before pulling down the two twin beds, cleverly hidden in the wall, and getting some much-needed shuteye. A stylish shower room completes the interior. Outside through the patio doors is a lovely courtyard with comfortable seating.

The charming town of Southwold has a fabulous stretch of sandy shoreline, which can be accessed on foot just 150 metres away. You will also find plenty of places to eat and shops to peruse in the town. Hire surfboards and stand-up paddleboards at Denes Beach (1 mile) and take to the water. Hire a bike and enjoy the many cycle routes winding through the countryside, or take a walk and spot wildlife at the Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve (3 miles). Over-priced and misrepresented. After many years of holiday in self accommodation this was by far the worst.

The Folly is surprisingly spacious. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped ( though I didnt cook during my 2 night stay, so didnt test cooking facilities.) There is plenty of hot water on demand and the shower is efficient. The location is great. Very close to the High Street and the beach, but tucked away in an enclosed yard, so its quiet at Read morenight. Directions and check in details were clear. A small point: One of the nearby properties has a motion activated, very bright, outside light which came on and off repeatedly during a windy, rainy night, so if that kind of weather is forecast and intermittent bright light will disturb your slumbers, maybe bring a sleep mask! Location excellent parking diabolical Note that Adnams monopolise the pubs & town hotels cutting down on standards & healthy competition. Found it difficult to find a decent meal during our 5 day stay!

Very narrow lane to drive and park car. The location was very commercial and ugly and unkept. The doors and windows were hard to open and close.

Great Central location. Parking space enough for my SUV - just a bit tight. Cosy space. Patio area an asset. Twin folding beds into studio apartment space - I was staying alone, so not an issue. I could leave my bed down. Not sure if every guest would be ok with the fold down twin single beds. Potential guests may need to be fully aware. KitchenRead more area has sufficient facilities for food preparation. If you are prepared for the beds, this is a good studio space for a Southwold stay. Hide

This cottage was spotlessly clean and very centrally located. Parking space also very useful. Well equipped with fabulous shower and ingenious folding beds which were so comfy. Parking space and patio also a real benefit. Had a fabulous stay, very comfy and peaceful. Would thoroughly recommend.
