Sleeping eight guests, and also happy to welcome four-legged friends, the three-bedroom property is just 70 metres from the beach. It is also close to cafes, pubs and shops. The property itself, which could suit an extended family or party of friends, has three wood burners for toasting beside on autumn and winter nights and a courtyard garden for summer relaxation.

Return for your trips and head through to the kitchen to unpack your shopping and make a cup of fresh coffee to enjoy up at the breakfast bar. Prepare the meals for your group in here too, then serve up through in the dining room. Enjoy having two lounges to spread out into. One has a wood burner to fire up, as well as a TV and ample space for playing games together. The other features another TV, plus a sofa bed that can be used for two members of your party if discussed at booking. There is also a WC downstairs. Upstairs, you will find the family bathroom, together with a twin bedroom and two king-sizes, one with an en-suite shower room. Fishermans Cottage is a perfect location just steps from both the beach and the town and of course the Nelly! We have stayed in both the June and January and it is a house for all seasons. It comfortably took our family party of 7 with a bed to spare, but was equally cosy when they left and two of us had a few peaceful days together. The RangemasteRead morer is plenty man enough for a family Roast and the small sunny courtyard and BBQ was well used in the summer. Hide

The location for this cottage was great although alittle noisy first thing in the mornings with deliveries etc. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable and needs updating. The cleanliness of the house needs to be addressed but on the whole is was ok if you didnt look too hard. The upstairs is lovely with decent size bedrooms. Response from holidaycottRead moreages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We can confirm that we will discuss your sofa bed feedback with the owner. The cleaning issues have been addressed. Hide

The beds in the twin room have unacceptable mattresses for adult or child use. This led to loss of sleep in an otherwise comfortable property.

Location very good for us, as we have limited mobility and we like to see lots of people. Courtyard nice on hot days. Easy to food shop and the market. Comfortable house overall and sofa bed used for grandson.

What a great position nearly opposite The Nelson pub. Fishermans Cottage is very central to everything that beautiful Southwold has to offer. Comfortable family accommodation which included the 4 legged members. Well equipped for 8 people and includes a lovely, little sun trap courtyard! A great base for a Southwold holiday.

We had a wonderful stay for our Mum's 80th Birthday celebrations. This property couldn't be better situated for anyone with limited mobility, close to the shops and the beach. Very well equipped with comfy beds and sofas. We would certainly return.
