The village which belies its past as a thriving wool centre has evidence of this trade all around in the timber framed merchants houses dating from 14th Century. Debenham has a pub (dog friendly) serving food and boasts the longest ford in the UK, being the source of the river Deben. Second time we have stayed in Flint Cottage. Comfortable little cottage good position for visiting Suffolk, in lovely village. Co-op two minutes away as is pub. Lovely garden to sit in. Extremely dog friendly, though we didn't have one. Steep stairs but most Suffolk cattages have these.

Lovely and cosy cottage with good location to local shops and pub. Good sized garden for the size of cottage - our dog loved it. Parking generally not a problem.

We immediately felt at peace in cosy Flint Cottage, with excellent utilities at hand, congenial neighbours, two pubs and a Co-Op within a stone's throw, good local walks and a very convenient nodal location for visiting Suffolk's historic towns and cities. On road parking worked out well for us. We will return!

This is a lovely old cottage that has been renovated to a good standard in recent years. The garden is enclosed but over looked from all sides. Also the neighbours behind the garden have a dog that often visits and barks if you have a dog. The cottage is clean and well maintained and in a lovely spot as a base for exploring Suffolk. The bed is comfRead morey and the large bath was a nice touch. The stairs are steep and open on one side to the kitchen so you need to take care. The kitchen is lovely and has all the basics for a stay in the cottage. The village is sweet there is a co-op and lots of little local places for groceries and fire wood etc. the cafe is great for a scone and a coffee. Also the sewing shop in the village is a lovely addition. We never ventured in the pubs in the village the reviews were not great but the Swan at Hoxne was fab definitely a recommendation for dinner. I would recommend this cottage Hide

Cute little property equiped for our needs with a sweet sitting area to the rear and some open grass in front of properties to walk the dog. Characterful and suitable for us even with the steep stairs. Ideal base to explore the local areas. Enjoyed our short week and appreciate the effort that had gone into the decor by the owners.
