Get away from it all at this coastal retreat, a charming cottage in the village of Corton close to the beach. Whether you’re going away with friends, family or your other half, the large, secluded garden is the perfect place to switch off and relax. The house is all on one level with no stairs and your furry friend is welcome to join you here.

The single-storey cottage has heaps of character and makes a cosy and comfortable home from home. You’ll want to chill out with a good book or the TV on in the pretty living room, while Fido sleeps next to the wood burner. Start your day with fresh coffee and rustle up lovely meals in the country-style kitchen, then enjoy them together at the dining table. You can watch TV in bed in both bedrooms, a cosy king, and a pretty single; the gorgeous contemporary bathroom has a bath and separate shower. Heading outside, the cottage is surrounded by a big garden to relax in, all enclosed so the pup can potter freely, a BBQ for al fresco evenings and a summer house for an afternoon snooze.

Grab the lead and head to the beach (0.5 miles) for a pretty walk along the coast where your pup is welcome to explore any time of year. Enjoy the local wildlife wandering around Corton Woods Nature Reserve, less than 500 metres away. Kids will love the exciting rides, shows and attractions at Pleasurewood Hills theme park (1-mile walk or 2-mile drive) and the exotic animals at Africa Alive Zoo (8.5 miles). Lowestoft (3 miles), the most easterly point in the British Isles, has a great beach, two piers, and theatre, and visit Great Yarmouth (6 miles) to go to the pleasure beach and circus.

Such a delightful cottage in a perfect location. Lots of walks along the adjacent nature reserve, also sea front. The very secure garden kept my greyhound very happy, reassuring for me as I knew she was safe. Overall a fantastic stay and we will be back.

Cottage location is central for exploring , but the roads to the front and side are very busy. The garden although advertised to be secure , we did not feel was secure enough for our Springer Spaniel as there is only a low fence on the busy main road side of the garden. The pictures of the house make the property look bigger than it actually is. However, we were very comfortable and the bathroom is nice and large.

Lovely cottage, clean, well equipped. There were 3 of us, 2 adults and a petite 15 year old and found the cottage quite small, if there were 4 adults it would be tight in there plus theres only seating for 3 in the living room. The door frames are quite low, husband at 5ft 11 had to duck. A lot of road noise, but this we got use too. It is quiteRead more a step in and out of the shower. We found the cottage smelt musky in the living room and main bedroom and noticed damp walls on the living room walls. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review.
