Enjoy your own private oasis in a tranquil corner of vibrant Woodbridge when you stay at this welcoming cottage. Sleeping four guests, the three-bedroom retreat comes with a sunny, south-facing garden. From here you can stroll out to explore independent shops, galleries and boutiques and dine out in gastro-pubs and restaurants. The property also makes an excellent base for heading out into the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Open the front door and carry the fresh Suffolk provisions you have bought in town into the kitchen/diner. Unpack them then make yourself a cup of tea to enjoy at the table, with the French doors open to bring in a summer breeze. Find everything you need to help you prepare dinner in here too then call your party to join you. Spend cosy evenings in with the wood burner roaring and a good film on the TV in the lounge. There is also a WC downstairs. When the sun goes down and you are ready to head up to bed, head up to the king-size bedroom, which has an en-suite shower room, with underfloor heating, or one of the two singles. The family bathroom, also with underfloor heating, is also on the first floor. Unwind out in the generous courtyard garden whenever the weather is fine. Dine out here too and open a bottle of chilled wine on balmy evenings. There is a narrow parking space for one car.
Stroll 350 metres to the Woodbridge Tide Museum to see a working example of a mill with a turning water wheel. Book river boat trips out along the Deben from the jetty, just under 0.5 miles away. Spend an afternoon at Sutton Hoo, 3 miles away, walking through the grounds where an Anglo-Saxon royal burial site was discovered.
