Wander out of your front door and into the cute, narrow streets of Woodbridge. Take time to explore the independent shops, before dining in one of the many cute cafes or cosy pubs. There are some beautiful walks in and around the town, including along the River Deben and in Rendlesham Forest. History enthusiasts must take a trip to Sutton Hoo (3 miles) – the burial site of Anglo-Saxon kings – as well as the fascinating Tidal Mill Museum. Suffolk’s gorgeous beaches are within easy reach, your nearest being the popular seaside spot of Aldeburgh (18 miles).
