Reviews

A home away from home in a beautiful and peaceful setting, yet just a few minutes walk to the village. The lodge is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed a friendly welcome from the owners who were helpful in making recommendations but respectful of our privacy. The village itself has good facilities (Co-op supermarket is 350 metres away and well stocked, including a Subway). There are several good places to eat - in particular The Bengal, Indian restaurant and Flaming Fryer (fish and chips). Many interesting places to visit in the area - Helmingham Hall gardens are stunning. Perfect holiday - happy to recommend!

Mr K,

The lodge was very comfortable, spacious and perfectly located to visit the Suffolk sights: Sutton Hoo, Framlingham Castle, Orford Ness, Southwold, Aldeburgh, Woodbridge, RSPB Minsmere etc. A nice quiet location, ideal for two people & we particularly enjoyed the decking area with its small table & chairs overlooking the field at the back. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a nice large shower area. The owners were very helpful and approachable. The village centre is only 3mins away and has a well-stocked Co-op and excellent fish & chip shop. The pleasant Greyhound pub at Pettistree is just a 15min walk away via a quiet country road. We highly recommend this property.

Mr I,

Very well appointed, excellent and comfortable furnishings. It was purpose made for letting with a good kitchen, modern bathroom and comfortable seating and bed. We were delighted to stay and wish that we had booked for 14 days instead of 7. Wickham Market is convenient to many tourist attractions and the coast. The owners live on site and were very helpful. No, we were not paid to write this review!!!!!

Mr A,

From a comfy bed and luxury towels to a well equipped kitchen and a quiet sunny south facing patio, 'Linnet Lodge' provided everything we needed for a weeks holiday in Suffolk. Easy to operate TV, oven, hob and heating with no complicated manuals to read!! Owners were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area regarding both bird watching and cycling. Ideally situated on the outskirts of the village and within easy reach of the coast, the RSPB site at Minsmere, Sutton Hoo and Snape Maltings. We would thoroughly recommend.
