The Crows Nest was a great flat with amazing views. Val was fab and could not have been a more welcoming host. Would definitely come again at some point.
Had a lovely week. Very peaceful and comfortable. Lots of works in the area. Excellent local facilities and managed easily without a car.
I found it hard to leave this view after a delightful week here. It is rather like a nest from which you look at the world, and very comfortable. Some might find the stairs slightly steep for carrying really heavy luggage, but it is worth it at the top!
Val was so welcoming, and we had essentials provided when we arrived (milk, bread, eggs etc?. The apartment overlooked the river, and while it's very grey in the winter, it is still a lovely view, and I imagine it's stunning in the summer. It was so peaceful in the Hamlet and there were suggested walk routes along the river. The local pub is welcoming and serves great food. We had an afternoon at Flatford Mill (25 mins away) and again enjoyed lovely views of the countryside and river. We really needed the time together. In two years my brother in law was diagnosed with bowel cancer and died within 3 months. I received my breast cancer and my mother in law was diagnosed a month later with rectal cancer. We also have an autistic son. Life has only just settled enough for us to be able to go away, even for a couple of days, and relax. Thank you, and Val, so much for providing that for us.
