Bawdsey lies on the estuary of the River Deben, where walkers, cyclists and weekend sailors make leisurely use of the pubs, pine forests and heathland of the Bawdsey Peninsula, while taking in the magnificence of the big skies. Nearby, Bawdsey Manor was where radar was developed and there are lots of historical sites to visit around the area, including Sutton Hoo. Bawdsey Quay is only two miles away, from where you can take the foot ferry to Felixstowe Ferry and walk or cycle to Felixstowe town.

The cottage was very well equipped there was not a thing the owners had not covered. It was in a lovely location for sight seeing. Garden and cottage very dog friendly. Never been to that area before we really enjoyed it. We will be back.
