Barley Barn offers all ground floor accommodation in three generous bedrooms (two king size and 1 twin). In the hub of this home, a large dining room provides plenty of space to entertain guests and boasts floor to ceiling windows with views across the garden and beyond. You will also find a welcoming living room with plenty of soft seating to cosy up next to the wood burner, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with handy utility room. The enclosed garden fitted with outdoor furniture and BBQ is the ideal spot to dine alfresco whilst soaking up the Suffolk sunshine.

Notes: Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels provided. Please note that the swimming pool may be closed from time to time for essential maintenance and, unfortunately, this is outside our control. The pool may also be closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
At Bawdsey Quay you will find The Boathouse Cafe - great cakes, light lunches and in the summer early supers. Take the foot ferry across the Deben and you will find an excellent fresh fish shed on the beach, an ice cream stall and another riverside cafe which sells good fish and chips. Just a few yards from the quay is The Ferry Inn for fine ales and meals. Bawdsey lies on the estuary of the River Deben, where walkers and weekend sailors sit outside the pubs gazing across to the pine forests and heath land of the Bawdsey Peninsula. Nearby, Bawdsey Manor was where radar was developed and there are lots of historical sites to visit around the area. There is also a sandy beach for children, and sailing at Bawdsey Quay only two miles away. From here you can take the foot ferry to Felixstowe Ferry just across the river.
