We had never been to Suffolk before and this is a beautiful part of the Country. The property is set in a small quiet village with a pub, that appears to be in the middle of nowhere but it is easily acessed from the A14. There is plenty of room to park off road by the door to what is not a 'Potting Shed' at all, but an extremely well equipped, modern, roomy one bedroomed place with its own enclosed lawned and furnitured garden. There is great walking in the area including the nearby Ickworth Estate and Bury St Ed's is not far away. As far as we were concerned this place had everything we needed and wanted for a peaceful, relaxing, wandering, touring and sightseeing holiday in Suffolk.
We loved staying in The Potting Shed. It was the promise of a private garden that attracted us and we were delighted with the large rose garden accessible from the bedroom! We spent as much time as we could relaxing in the garden and enjoying the peace and quiet. The flat was beautifully appointed and stocked with everything we could have possibly needed or wanted. Many thanks also for the welcome pack full of essentials and goodies! The luxury firm mattress was a treat to sleep on and the huge rain shower head in the walk-in shower was great fun! It was a great location for discovering Suffolk and we used the notes in the flat to plan our trips out to Bury St Edmonds and Aldeburgh, the Wool Towns and Sutton Hoo. We recommend The Potting Shed and will certainly consider staying there again.
The Potting Shed was an excellent property for visiting the Suffolk countryside. Bury St Edmunds was within easy reach as were many of the wool towns and National Trust properties that Suffolk has to offer. The property was extremely comfortable and beautifully furnished. There was nothing that we needed. The garden made an excellent spot to relax in at the end of the day.
