This superb barn conversion, surrounded by a 12th-century moat on the grounds of historic Wattisham Hall, is perfect for a gathering of families or friends. The spacious property sleeps ten guests and one pet across four bedrooms and has fine original features such as exposed beams and vaulted ceilings. You have your own private hot tub on the enclosed patio overlooking the moat and there is a children’s outdoor play park.
This gorgeous rural retreat is beautifully furnished throughout with pale wood and soft neutral shades that enhance its character and charm. The open-plan living space is filled with light from full-length windows and doors to the patio. With comfortable sofas and a cosy wood burner, it opens to a country-style kitchen and dining area. A pretty double bedroom and en-suite shower room complete the ground floor. Upstairs are two super-king-size bedrooms which can be made into twins, and bunk beds suitable for two children. One king-size room also has a single pull-out daybed. Outside, the patio has garden seating with lovely country views across the moat and a charcoal BBQ. There’s also a spacious games room with table tennis, foosball and pool.
Children will enjoy meeting the animal residents at Hilly Ridge Alpacas in Wattisham, as well as goats, chickens and pigs at Hollow Trees Children’s Farm (5 miles). The farm also provides fun play equipment, a shop with local produce and a cafe.
