Number 6 plays host to a large sitting room equipped with comfy sofa, arm chairs and a smart television, perfect for relaxing in after a day touring the local area. There is a modern kitchen available to create some culinary delights as well as a spacious double bedroom ready and waiting for a peaceful night’s sleep. Morning coffee can be enjoyed in the courtyard to the rear of the property and as the day goes by, you can follow the sunshine through to your private garden which envelopes the property.

Within a 5 minutes’ walk, you could be enjoying the wonderful sites and delights that Sudbury has to offer, including its most famous resident Thomas Gainsborough at Gainsborough’s House with its incredible art and history. The Riverside Restaurant and Mill Hotel are fantastic places to enjoy lazy lunches overlooking the water meadows and River Stour too. Just a 15-minute drive away, you can be in the lovely and picturesque village of Long Melford revelling in its wonderful wealth of independent shops, boutiques and eateries.

Sudbury, one of Suffolk's wool towns is located on the Suffolk and Essex border and is most famous for being the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough. You can learn all about the artist at the popular Gainsborough House Museum and Gallery. Sudbury is still surrounded by the famous water meadows which inspired Gainsborough paintings and Suffolk's other famous artist John Constable. This bustling market town has many well-known and independent shops, restaurants, and cafes to choose from as well as a good selection of pubs for you to try the local ales. Long Melford is very close to the town where you can explore Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall. Cavendish, Lavenham and Clare, famous for its antiques, are nearby villages and the River Stour and Constable Country are all within easy reach.

A beautifully presented bungalow in an interesting part of Sudbury with easy access to the town centre and the riverside walks. We had an enjoyable weeks stay. The owner had made every effort to make us welcome.
