The Cartlodge is a very high quality rental. The standard of finish, fixtures, fittings and equipment are outstanding with the garden, outdoor kitchen & rekaxatiin lounges, sunroom, putting green and ponds excellent. There is nothing else you would need for a wonderful break at this location. Mini gym with Peleton, excellent kitchen, 3 TVs, strong Wi-Fi, gorgeous roll top bath - and superb finishing touches. The area is lovely and quiet but the coast - Southwold, Walberswick, Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings, Woodbridge are all easily accessible with lovely pubs for food and independent stores including artisan bakers, butchers and general stores. Superb welcome pack on arrival too. No hesitation to recommend and we hope to return.
The Cartlodge is a beautiful, spacious property and perfect for a holiday getaway. The accommodation was immaculate and extremely well kitted-out – in particular the kitchen. We really enjoyed the thoughtful extras on arrival, such as slippers, firewood, and a selection of local food products. We wished we could have stayed longer!
Easily accessible from the A12, set in a secluded rural location, the accommodation is furnished and equipped to a very high standard as described on the website. We had access to the gardens of the main house, which was not occupied by the owners during our stay, giving a wonderful, relaxing place to unwind. The owners had arranged a shopping basket of food including bread and other treats with fresh milk in the fridge which was plenty to get us started without having to find a local shop. Overall, 5 star accommodation and we plan to visit again.
Absolute perfection. Everything you could possibly want in a holiday property and a whole lot more, all to the highest standard. Without doubt the best place we have stayed in the UK.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. We could not have asked for anything more. The gardens are truly magnificent. We really enjoyed the peace and tranquillity and beauty of the outdoor spaces. We are sad to be leaving but feel we have experienced a slice of heaven. Thank you.
We were the only people on site, 2 acres of garden. It was private, peaceful and relaxing. Fantastic weather while we were there. Very welll equipped accommodation, lovely bath and shower; stunning loction. Wifi and moble signal better than at home. I think the farmhouse may do B & B, not sure as it was closed at the time, which would mean that some of that lovely space would be communal - makes it a good spot for larger groups when life gets back to normal. Fantastic for country walks, whether lcountry lane or across fields. It's also located on National Cycle Route 1 for the more energetic. Wish we had booked for longer. Visited Aldeburgh before we arrived on the Monday, and Southwold when we left.
Thank you for the most wonderful stay. You have created a little slice of heaven and we wanted for nothing. The location is perfect, your gardens are sublime and the attention to detail is inspiring. We cannot wait to come back for another relaxing and comfortable break.
Excellent location with high-class facilities. Everything seems to be catered for, whether active or relaxing.
