This beautifully presented Cartlodge is situated in the grounds of the main farmhouse and surrounded by far-reaching countryside views. The Cartlodge has exclusive use of the grounds during your stay so you’ll have complete privacy. There are so many special added touches to ensure you have an unforgettable stay and will want to return again and again.

Despite being a newly built Cartlodge, the property has been built to provide a chic yet charming ambience and furnished to the highest standard for that added touch of luxury. Deceptively spacious, this is so much more than your average Cartlodge! Enter via a private doorway and you will be welcomed into a cosy and sophisticated sitting room with wall-to-wall TV, chesterfield two seater sofa, and a cosy armchair. There is also a chest of drawers and two chairs. With large bifold doors leading into the garden you can truly appreciate the glorious views from here. The ground floor is also equipped with wet room, large utility space and your very own gym room!

When you climb the stairs and reach the first floor, it is sure to give you the ‘wow’ factor as this stunning space is much more spacious than one would first think. The first floor stretches the width of the property and provides an open plan studio style living and sleeping space, with three neat zones including bedroom area with a grand four-poster bed, the seating area with log burning stove taking centre stage, and the kitchen/diner area at the far side. Lovingly furnished to an exceptionally high standard, the owner has thought of everything to make this a wonderful getaway providing top quality self-catering accommodation, including bathrobes, Sky TV, and a few added extras.

This dreamy Cartlodge provides a serene setting for your next Suffolk stay with its tucked away location. The gardens truly are the cherry on top – there’s so many elements to enjoy including: an outdoor barbeque kitchen area, indoor garden dining room, golf net, wildlife ponds, and even an orchard.

Set in an idyllic countryside location, positioned not far from the Suffolk coastal favourites such as Aldeburgh and Southwold, you’ll have a network of wonderful walks on your doorstep. At the Cartlodge you’ll be just 8 miles from the coast and heath at Dunwich and if you’re a keen birdwatcher, then RSPB Minsmere is just 9 miles away. If you enjoy a spot of golf, then Halesworth is just a 10-minute drive from the property. There is an abundance of fantastic cycle rides to be had, allowing you to truly make the most of this scenic countryside location. On those days where a cycle ride doesn’t take your fancy, a Peloton is available in the gym room.

What we love about this property? The Suffolk countryside setting is stunning. When you walk up the stairs to the first floor, we think you’ll get the ‘wow’ factor with the four-poster bed, central log burning stove and grand arch window with stunning views. The outside kitchen area with separate dining room is yet another added feature that makes this property so special.

GROUND FLOOR

Lobby Area: private entrance into the ground floor which leads through into the sitting room
Sitting Room: Wall to wall TV in this cinema style room with Sky TV available. Chesterfield two-seater sofa and an armchair. There is also a chest of drawers and two chairs. Large bifold doors open to the surrounding gardens.
Wet Room: ground floor wet room shower room, with rainforest shower, sink and WC. Around the corner of this room is a washing machine and tumble dryer and a heated towel rail.
Gym Room: Peloton multi-function HIIT exercise bike, boxing punch bag, weights, yoga mats, TV and Xbox.
Utility Room: Spacious utility room with ample storage space. A large integrated fridge/freezer for guests. Ironing board, vacuum, and ample coat hooks in this room.

FIRST FLOOR

Open plan studio bedroom, sitting room, kitchen, and dining space
Bedroom area: Super King size four-poster bed, with lightweight, breathable curtains around the bed for privacy. (please note: the beautiful arch window does not have blinds or curtains and therefore the four-poster bed has curtains) bedside tables, push door to open wardrobes with a chest of drawers, writing desk.
Sitting area: in addition to the separate sitting room on the ground floor, this open plan room is equipped with comfortable two-seater sofa, arm chair, TV with Sky TV, ottoman and two armchairs placed by the arch window to enjoy the views. There is a gorgeous log burner taking centre stage in the room.
Kitchen/Diner area: to the rear of the room is a good-sized kitchen/dining area with well equipped kitchen consisting of: integrated fridge, oven, induction hob, extractor fan, integrated dishwasher, sink, microwave, Krups Coffee Machine. (Please note: an additional fridge and a freezer with ice tray are available in the utility room). Dining area: Table and chairs for four people and a wooden settle with soft seating.
Bathroom: the bathroom is situated around the corner of the bedroom, consisting of: freestanding roll top bath, sink, WC and extractor fan (please note: there isn’t a door on this bathroom, however it is tucked around the corner from the bedroom).
Heating: Oil fired central heating, underfloor heating, multi zone-controlled thermostat, log burning stove.
Outside: Stunning gardens surround the property which guests are welcome to make use of. The Cartlodge has exclusive use of the gardens. The outside space includes: Garden Dining Room: for outside dining under shelter with dining table and chairs for four and a piano, binoculars, and stargazing books. Outdoor BBQ Kitchen: ample preparation space and Gas Barbeque. Outside breakfast seating area: bistro set for two. This private courtyard area wraps around where you will find a golf net and a sheltered bicycle rack (guests are welcome to keep their bikes in the Cartlodge utility room or gym if they would prefer). There are large grounds surrounding the property and you are welcome to make use of the South facing seating area towards the rear of the main farmhouse. There is also a beautiful orchard with a seating area within. The garden also includes two large wildlife ponds (please note, these are not for swimming).

Extras: Bathrobes are provided, Sky TV, XBOX, Gym Room, Peloton, picnic basket, outdoor kitchen area, golf net, external garden dining room.
Parking: Ample parking (The Cartlodge shares a driveway with the main Farmhouse, however you have exclusive use of the shingle driveway and undercover car port during your stay).

We were the only people on site, 2 acres of garden. It was private, peaceful and relaxing. Fantastic weather while we were there. Very welll equipped accommodation, lovely bath and shower; stunning loction. Wifi and moble signal better than at home. I think the farmhouse may do B & B, not sure as it was closed at the time, which would mean that some of that lovely space would be communal - makes it a good spot for larger groups when life gets back to normal. Fantastic for country walks, whether lcountry lane or across fields. It's also located on National Cycle Route 1 for the more energetic. Wish we had booked for longer. Visited Aldeburgh before we arrived on the Monday, and Southwold when we left.
