Located in the depths of the Suffolk countryside, in the small hamlet of Kettlebaston, this pretty cottage has been lovingly restored to its former glory. In years gone by, this quaint property was once used as a retreat for the village Rector, who was at the time, residing in the local St Mary’s church. Beautiful pointed arched windows are just a small dose of the history that lies here.
Rector’s Retreat serves as the perfect base to explore the surrounding villages and local walks.

Small yet perfectly formed, this holiday home hosts all you could need for a peaceful and comfortable stay. All on ground level and with an accessible ramp leading to the veranda and front door this is an ideal home for all. Bright, cosy, and boasting modern furnishings throughout, this couple friendly bolthole is the perfect escape to the country.

Kettlebaston is a small hamlet with a beautiful church at its heart. Just a short 10-minute drive away is the medieval village of Lavenham. It is often regarded as the food capital of Suffolk. It is a wonderful place to visit with great restaurants and local pubs plus a super variety of interesting shops and galleries. Lavenham is a destination within itself with such proximity to the beautiful landscape of Constable Country, the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds and within easy reach of the Suffolk coast.
