Haughley is a picturesque village located just over 2 miles northwest of the town of Stowmarket. Known for its' rolling fields, Haughley has the benefit of a village pub, The Kings Head, a beautiful Grade I listed church, as well as the remains of circular foundations of a motte and bailey castle. An ideal base for exploring Suffolk, it lies just over 1 mile from neighbouring village Wetherden, which also has a charming pub grade II listed pub, The Maypole. With train links in nearby Stowmarket, holidaymakers from London can arrive in this relaxing pocket of the county in just under 2 hours from Liverpool Street Station. Keen cyclists will love exploring the network of winding country lanes, whilst walkers will enjoy taking in the breathtaking scenery on foot on one of the many footpaths in the area.
