The Keep offers a gorgeous retreat which has been beautifully furnished to create an interior haven. Accommodation comprises of cosy sitting room with large Smart TV, kitchen/diner, cocktail/reading area, two delightful bedrooms, and a shower room with spacious walk-in shower. Everything has been thought of to ensure you have a wonderful self-catering holiday. The sitting room is the perfect spot for evenings in and a guest Netflix account is provided so you can enjoy a movie night in, both bedrooms are equipped with Smart TVs, and there is even an iPad available to help you plan activities and trips for your stay! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to whip up homecooked meals, but we won’t blame you if you don’t feel like cooking on your holiday - you have so many culinary treats right on your doorstep! A selection of pubs, restaurants, cafes, a bistro, and a fish and chip shop await nearby, so you will be spoilt for choice whether here for a week or a weekend!

A stay here will have you located in the heart of Framlingham with shops, cafes, and restaurants on the doorstep and just a short stroll away is the ‘castle on the hill’ otherwise known as the historic Framlingham Castle. Towards the rear of the property sits St Michael's Church and views of the church can be appreciated from the second bedroom and kitchen. Framlingham offers a year-round retreat with plenty to pack in during your stay. The thriving market visits twice weekly and is a fantastic opportunity to stock up on local goodies and delights! The famous Framlingham Castle, managed by English Heritage, is just a 3 minute walk away from The Keep if you go via the churchyard of St Michael. This breath-taking architectural delight was the very place that Mary Tudor was declared Queen of England. Just a short drive away and you can explore many Suffolk favourites such as Aldeburgh, Orford, Southwold, Woodbridge and Snape. Keen cyclists will really enjoy breathing in this delightful pocket of the county on the winding country lanes.

The Keep is a second-floor apartment accessed via a flight of external metal stairs with handrail and one internal staircase from the front door.

Framlingham is a small market town that is rich in history and heritage. There is a 12th Century curtain-walled castle where Mary Tudor was proclaimed Queen, and historic Saint Michael's church. Framlingham College is an imposing mock-gothic building overlooking the Mere, a lake which is a haven for wildlife. Aldeburgh, on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, is just fifteen miles away and other places to visit include the beautiful villages of Constable Country, RPSB Minsmere bird reserve and Snape Maltings. There are a number of cycle routes walks in the area and there is a good range of shops and places to eat in the town.

A very nicely positioned holiday apartment decorated to a high standard. The kitchen facilities were particularly good with everything you could possibly need for a short break. Framlingham was a lovely town to mooch about with a good selection of independent shops.
