Reviews

A lovely property that is well equipped and within easy reach of local towns. We received a warm welcome to this peaceful retreat.

Mrs C,

We had a fabulous week at Buttermilk Barn. The rural location proved a little tricky to find initially but, once we were in, the quiet and tranquil setting was perfect for a truly relaxing week! All the main places of interest are within easy reach and the drive to the coast is easy, on quiet roads passing through picture postcard villages. Southwold, Walberswick, Snape Maltings and Aldeburgh all well worth a visit but the highlight for us was Thorpeness, a real gem and still relatively unknown. The accommodation itself is beautifully finished with lots of home comforts, lovely finishing touches and all the mod cons you need, set in the fabulous gardens of Carl and Alison's home. We had all the privacy we needed but, at the same time, our hosts were just a few seconds away when we needed them. Their 'can do' attitude, particularly when we found ourselves in a dinner predicament, really made the week for us. If you're after a true get away from it all holiday, with the chance to sample some truly stunning British countryside, we can't recommend Buttermilk Barn enough and will definitely be back in the future.

Mr H,

Buttermilk Barn is delightful - exceptionally clean, well appointed, with access to beautiful gardens and the friendly hosts only wanted to ensure we enjoyed our stay! We would certainly recommend this property.

Mrs P,

We were delighted with our stay at Buttermilk Barn. The location is idyllic and the garden absolutely beautiful. Our hosts were welcoming and even invited us out on a walk in the surrounding countryside. The barn itself is stylish & wonderfully appointed with everything you need for a lovely stay. We really didn't want to leave and hope to return again.

Mrs H,
