  • Sunny courtyard garden for enjoying your morning coffee alfresco
Property code: OC-PUDDIN

This gorgeous period cottage is located in the pretty market town of Beccles, offering a homely and cosy base from which to explore this scenic part of Suffolk. It’s a lovely terraced house in a central location, with pubs, shops and the local train station all within 0.5 miles. Fans of water-based activities will love the close proximity to Beccles Lido and River Waveney (both 150 metres). With space for up to four guests in its two bedrooms, this quaint accommodation is ideal for a family or small group keen for a relaxing holiday with up to one dog.

Enter the front door directly into an open-plan living area with stunning exposed beams and a quality wooden floor. A super-comfy sofa sits opposite a brickwork fireplace housing a cosy electric wood burner for those chilly nights. Tuck into leisurely meals at the dining table, positioned below a mullioned sash window providing another rustic touch. The small-but-perfectly-formed kitchen is located towards the back of the house, and there’s a sweet courtyard outside where you can sip morning coffee in the fresh air. There’s also a small outdoor space out the front equipped with a bistro set.

Beccles is a medieval town on the Suffolk/Norfolk border with a rich history and a vibrant atmosphere – while away a morning wandering around its independent shops before heading for a coffee in one of many cafes. The town is a gateway to the Broads National Park, with excellent walks leaving straight from your front door (the dog’ll certainly be happy!) and boating opportunities on the river. For a change of scenery, head east to the Suffolk Heritage Coast where you’ll find a splendid coastline peppered with pristine beaches and quaint villages to explore.

A charming cottage conveniently located within a short stroll to the town centre, boasting a snug fireplace and ample amenities. Detailed information about local attractions and nearby facilities is readily available. Beccles is a great place to stay, and we eagerly anticipate our return next year.

The cottage lived up to its pictures. Just perfect, very cosy and warm. The bed was very comfortable. Ideally situated near river and a short walk to town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks

Lovely cottage very close to the centre of town, well equipped and provided with instruction manuals for the equipment and information about the town and surrounding area. Beccles is a great place to stay, very dog friendly. We had a little trouble finding the cottage - read the instructions they send and it's easy!

This cottage is an absolute gem. It has been thoughtfully renovated to the highest standard and its location down a quiet lane but literally in the middle of such an adorable town, is perfect. Myself, my partner and my 86 year old mother enjoyed a 5 day break here so much, that we really didnt want to go home!
