South of Bungay on the Suffolk side of the river is a handful of small villages known locally as 'The Saints'. It is here that All Saints South Elmham lies with its wealth of open countryside, and its maze of narrow, flat country lanes making it a popular destination among cyclists. South Elmham Hall - a 16th century farmhouse – stands a stone’s throw away and offers a number of walks as well as being a popular wedding and events venue. Just on the outskirts of All Saints is The Rumburgh Buck - an award-winning pub popular with locals and visitors alike. All Saints is situated approximately six miles away from three local market towns – Bungay, Halesworth and Harleston – while the popular seaside town of Southwold is located just 14 miles aware and the Beccles Broads are equally close by. If you’re into local ales and wines, then Grain Brewery in Alburgh, Barrell and Sellers Brewery and Valley Farm vineyards should definitely be added to your list of places to visit. The village of All Saints South Elmham provides the perfect base for a family holiday and for those looking for a peaceful retreat in an idyllic countryside setting.
