The Shotley Peninsula, which includes the villages of Woolverstone and Chelmondiston, Shotley Gate and Shotley lies between the River Orwell and River Stour in Suffolk. Shotley won the Suffolk Village of the Year in 2016 and the area is designated as of Outstanding Natural Beauty.   A fascinating spot for those looking to escape throughout the year. The village is home to three pubs, as well as the famous “Shipwreck” Restaurant at Shotley Marina, also found locally are the Indian take away and Fish and Chip shop. A doctors surgery and local store and post office are close by. Not forgetting the local vineyard and  Equestrian Centre. Thanks to its' positioning, Shotley makes a great bolthole for those travelling to Harwich from the Hook of Holland - it's just across the water!
