Are you in need of an escape from a fast-paced daily routine? Perhaps you’re craving a one-of-a-kind getaway boasting the beautiful surroundings of a riverside retreat? Then we think the answer could be a stay at Crow’s Nest Studio in the Area of Outstanding National Beauty that is Pin Mill.

Experience a taste of the tiny house movement with a stay in this self-contained apartment perfect for two. There is an en-suite double bedroom, kitchen/diner and adjoining sitting room.  There are spectacular river views and there is a private garden area.

This spot on the edge of the River Orwell truly offers the perfect escape from your daily routine. Unwind and watch the boats sail by as you enjoy the beautiful wildlife garden or take a short walk down to the riverbank. There’s so much to do here, from discovering the peaceful woodland and heathlands (beautiful whatever time of year you choose to come), to enjoying the Arthur Ransome walking trail, following in the footsteps of the children's classic We Didn't Mean to Go To Sea. The wooded foreshores of Pin Mill are an Area Outstanding National Beauty and the unchanged landscape truly is something to behold. Whether you’re looking for a getaway to enjoy walking, sailing, birdwatching, painting, or merely want to take some time to unwind and enjoy a picnic on the shoreline, then we’re sure this is a spot you’ll be longing to return to.  Pub: 0.1 miles  Shop: 0.6 miles

Just back from a lovely 4day break at the Crow Nest Studio. The location was great, the views fantastic and Val (the host) was welcoming and helpful and full of knowledge of the area.

mr D,

A lovely welcome from Val the owner. A delicious welcome pack of fresh bread, milk, eggs from her hens and homemade marmalade. Great location with stunning views over the harbour at Pin Mill. Lovely local walks from the doorstep. Friendly pub located minutes away and well stocked shop a short walk away. Val was friendly and approachable and our dog was made very welcome. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Previous Customer,

Wow, this was the perfect holiday. The property, the location, and the amazing views, are absolutely beautiful. our host has created something special here and she is such a lovely, caring and helpful person. Her attention to detail was perfect and the extra touches like the homemade marmalade, bread, milk, biscuits and fresh eggs from her own hens were an added bonus. We thoroughly recommend a stay at The Crow's Nest Studio, Pin Mill.

Mr S,

We received a very warm welcome from the Owner and she left some delicious bread, homemade marmalade and milk and spread specific to our dietary requirements. Our accommodation exceeded expectations was immaculately presented with amazing views. We stayed for a week and were reluctant to leave as we loved the place so much. Definitely be back.

Mrs M,

Very comfortable property with helpful and friendly owner.

Ms C,

Beautiful setting, kind and helpful host.

Mr D,

Stunning location overlooking Pin Mill and the river, accommodation was perfect for the 2 of us and the dog. The owner provided some really lovely extra touches (milk/bread/eggs etc for our arrival) and was very helpful if we needed anything. A good location for seeing nearby towns and tourist spots, local pubs were dog friendly and served lovely food, we will definitely be staying again in the future for a relaxing escape from the daily grind! Thankyou for a lovely holiday.

Mr C,

What a wonderful experience. The venue was perfect and the views were marvellous. The welcome pack was very informative and useful. The bread and homemade marmalade were delicious. I can recommend staying here.

Mrs J,

Lovely cottage, great views, very friendly owner.

Mr S,

We are now safely home after our little trip away. We just wanted to say thank you so much again for everything you did to make our stay at the Crow's Nest so lovely. The studio is absolutely perfect, so well appointed and clean! Just wish I could have sat outside and soaked up the sun! At least we could enjoy the view from the inside :) And thank you for all the little treats you left for us in the kitchen. My husband absolutely loved your marmalade! Hope you have a lovely Spring and a wonderful summer.

Marie and J,

The Crow's Nest is an absolutely adorable little getaway spot for a couple or a single person. Nestled against the side of the hill with a spectacular view across a beautiful meadow garden and down the river, with plenty of seating possibilities, this is a little slice of heaven here on earth. The cottage is furnished comfortably and tastefully with everything one might need in a home away from home. Our hostess also supplied us with a delicious homemade bread and marmalade, free range eggs from her own chickens and milk and butter. I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at the Crow's Nest for anyone looking for a peaceful country getaway.
