Escape to this charming cottage overlooking a green in the Suffolk village of Westleton and enjoy the best of the coast and countryside. Situated close to Westleton Heath National Nature Reserve and the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is 5 miles from bustling Leiston, with its shops and eateries, and 2 miles from Dunwich, with its gorgeous beach and access to the Suffolk Coast Path. Welcoming a canine companion too, the cottage sleeps three guests in two bedrooms.
Make your way inside via the pretty front garden and head through to the kitchen/diner, which has underfloor heating, to put the kettle on, open the French doors on to the garden and prepare the next homecooked meal. There is a table in here to gather round when it is ready. The lounge is an inviting space, where you can relax on the soft seating, look out over the green or watch TV together. Lay an open fire during the autumn and winter months and choose a game or book from the shelves. A single bedroom and the family shower room are also downstairs. Climb the steep, cottage-style stairs up to the first floor to a king-size bedroom and family bathroom, with underfloor heating. Soak up the sunshine out in the terraced cottage garden as often as the weather permits, keeping an eye on children and pets because of the different levels. You can also take your morning coffee out into the front garden to sit on the bench to watch the world go by. Parking is on the street, subject to availability.
Drive 9 miles from the village to have a day out in colourful Southwold. Here you can spend time on the sandy beach, browse in the shops, dine out and wander along the pier.
