Westleton is a pretty village midway between Aldeburgh and Southwold, with the coast at Dunwich only two and a half miles away. Centred around a large green, Westleton is one of the most popular places to stay on the Heritage Coast. It is an ideal base for the beach or for Minsmere, as well as the coastal heaths and forests. There are two good pubs, a restaurant and well-stocked village store/post office - all in the village centre. Much of the area around the village is accessible open heath or mixed woodland.

Middle Cottage is bright and spacious and has been given a modern update. The location is extremely quiet, and you can walk from the front door across the heathland to Dunwich and Minsmere. Westleton is a pleasant village with a shop and cafe and two pubs, well situated for visiting this area of Suffolk. We would be more than happy to stay in Middle Cottage again.
Beautiful cottage high spec all round.Holidayed with my daughter and grandchildren would highly recommend to anyone .Beaches within easy drive lovely village and my grandchildren loved walking down the Lane to buy fresh eggs for breakfast every morning. All furnishings to a very high standard and all beautiful and clean lovely large enclosed garden for the children to play in Thankyou Middle Cottage for our lovely break.
Very nice property, well equipped, good location adjacent to good walking.
Lovely cottage in a perfect location. We didn’t find the short walk to park any problem and were grateful for the quiet tucked away position of the cottage. It’s so peaceful, and fabulous to be backing on to the heath. Only a five minute walk to the pubs too. Cottage is well equipped, particularly the kitchen. If I was being really picky I would say it could do with a couple more saucepans. The mattresses were quite firm but comfy enough. It took us a while to work out which of the three dials dotted around the ground floor operated the heating so more detailed instructions at the property would help! Loved it there, would stay again.
Fabulous property. Luxury kitchen. Luxury welcome pack, bedding and toiletries. Comfy lounge . Pleasant garden. Ideally located to explore this enchanting area.
Middle cottage is a beautiful property. It has a fabulous kitchen which is very well equipped. The shower rooms are beautifully finished too. The garden is huge so plenty of room for our boys to play football and games and leads straight onto the common too. The village is a perfect location between Southwold and Aldeburgh and we cycled mainly off road to Walberswick which was wonderful. There are two brilliant pubs in the village so perfect for eating out on an evening and plenty more in the neighbouring villages. Ot also has a great village shop and wonderful secondhand bookshop that we enjoyed looking around. We had a brilliant holiday at Middle cottage.
