Set in the heart of the tranquil village of Westleton, this beautiful 17th-century Grade II-listed cottage is full of charm and character and has been beautifully updated to make a fabulous holiday getaway for up to eight guests. Perfect for larger families and groups of friends, the property retains a variety of original features including exposed timber beams and wooden latch doors alongside a sweet wood burner and roll-top bath. Within easy reach of the coast and midway between Aldeburgh and Southwold, this stylishly furnished retreat is a wonderful base for exploring a glorious part of the Suffolk countryside.

The light-filled hallway has comfortable seating, a table football and retro fridge. Heading through, the traditional, beautifully lit lounge has wooden flooring and ceiling beams, with a Smart TV and characterful wood burner. A step leads down from the lounge into the stunning kitchen/diner which has been elegantly updated, with a range of equipment, a wooden pew, farmhouse-style dining table, bespoke units and wooden worktops, providing a wonderful space for cooking and enjoying a family feast. The ground floor also has a cheerful bedroom with a Smart TV, queen-size bed and level access to a shower room. Three further bedrooms are upstairs, all with exposed wooden beams: there are two beautiful king-size rooms, one with a refreshing en-suite shower room, and one leading through to the delightful twin bedroom. Outside, the tiered garden features a lower deck with patio furniture, perfect for a BBQ, with steps leading onto the lawn.

Set on the edge of a nature reserve, with RSPB Minsmere just 2.5 miles away, Westleton is a great base for walkers and nature lovers. Other local attractions include Leiston Abbey (4 miles) and Henstead Exotic Gardens (12 miles). Heading along the coast, both Aldeburgh and Southwold are 9 miles away.

Very comfortable and well equipped property in a lovely location. Lots of nice walks in the beautiful surrounding heathland, easy journey to RSPB Minsmere for birdwatching. Two good pubs serving food in the village. Looking forward to returning.
