For a holiday to remember, book a stay in this traditional countryside cottage in the quaint village of Theberton. Brimming with character and surrounded by picture-postcard scenery, it’s a wonderful escape for families. Three gorgeous bedrooms sleep up to six guests, and there are lots of original features to admire, such as two open fires, exposed wooden beams, and winding staircases.
The entrance to the property is up a set of steps, and inside, a lounge is adorned with impressive ceiling beams, a TV, and a large, brick open fireplace. Head into the contemporary kitchen, with its stylish floor tiles and rustle up a family feast. When you’re ready to serve up, you can lay out your spread in either the breakfast room next to the kitchen or the separate dining room, which boasts another open fire for added atmosphere. Before heading upstairs, there is also a family shower room, and a king-size bedroom with direct access to the garden. Up the cottage-style stairs, you’ll find an en-suite king-size bedroom which has an interconnecting door to a twin room. Also on this floor is a family bathroom. Although the inside of this property is a delight, the garden is where you will really want to spend your time. With a patio and furniture including sun loungers and a dining table and chairs, there is plenty of room to make the most of the outdoor space, and a lawned section awaits, too.
There are many activities to enjoy in the area, from exploring the nature trails on your doorstep to spotting birds at RSPB Minsmere just 2.5 miles away. The cottage is also perfectly located for those wishing to explore the Suffolk coastline. The sandy beach of Southwold (11.5 miles away) is great for a day trip, with its promenade, pier, shops, cafes and amusements; or take a trip to Aldeburgh (7 miles) and admire the Georgian architecture, unique shops and local museums. The National Trust’s Dunwich Heath and Beach is also just 5.5 miles away.
