For a holiday to remember, book a stay in this traditional countryside cottage in the quaint village of Theberton. Brimming with character and surrounded by picture-postcard scenery, it’s a wonderful escape for families. Three gorgeous bedrooms sleep up to six guests, and there are lots of original features to admire, such as two open fires, exposed wooden beams, and winding staircases.

The entrance to the property is up a set of steps, and inside, a lounge is adorned with impressive ceiling beams, a TV, and a large, brick open fireplace. Head into the contemporary kitchen, with its stylish floor tiles and rustle up a family feast. When you’re ready to serve up, you can lay out your spread in either the breakfast room next to the kitchen or the separate dining room, which boasts another open fire for added atmosphere. Before heading upstairs, there is also a family shower room, and a king-size bedroom with direct access to the garden. Up the cottage-style stairs, you’ll find an en-suite king-size bedroom which has an interconnecting door to a twin room. Also on this floor is a family bathroom. Although the inside of this property is a delight, the garden is where you will really want to spend your time. With a patio and furniture including sun loungers and a dining table and chairs, there is plenty of room to make the most of the outdoor space, and a lawned section awaits, too.

There are many activities to enjoy in the area, from exploring the nature trails on your doorstep to spotting birds at RSPB Minsmere just 2.5 miles away. The cottage is also perfectly located for those wishing to explore the Suffolk coastline. The sandy beach of Southwold (11.5 miles away) is great for a day trip, with its promenade, pier, shops, cafes and amusements; or take a trip to Aldeburgh (7 miles) and admire the Georgian architecture, unique shops and local museums. The National Trust’s Dunwich Heath and Beach is also just 5.5 miles away.

A real character property in a great location in rural Suffolk. Plenty of space for the four of us plus a small dog. The beds were really comfy. The showers were warm and powerful. The garden is beautifully kept, the dog loved it! Easy to get either to the coast or inland from the village. Lovely cottage, full of character and in a good location. Having footpaths for walking the dog just opposite the front door was very handy!

The cottage itself is beautiful and cosy. The welcome pack was very nice and appreciated but no salt or oil . Maybe cut back on the jam and expensive apple juice and leave simple basics. All in all good holiday and location is great and private

We were a family of 4 adults 2 children and a dog. The cottage was almost perfect for our party. The children had just turned 3 years old so the stairs were slightly a problem, so unless sleeping downstairs younger children may have problems. The facilities were excellent and space was good. The chest of toys in the living space was a big bonus. ThRead moree garden was excellent for all, especially the dog! The weather could have been better but we cannot hold the cottage to blame for that. A couple of problems we did have was, firstly we got confused regarding the dustbin collection as there were 2 collection days written down and no knowledge of which bin was due for collection. Secondly one of the neighbours had dogs and puppies. Every morning at between 4.30 and 5am the puppies were allowed to create a lot of noise which disturbed the older adults sleeping downstairs. This was very annoying and was repeated in the evenings as well. As it wasnt totally known which neighbour it was, we couldnt complain while we were there. Lowestoft and Southwold were lovely seaside towns and well worth the visit. A few more local maps would have been handy but we were unable to get any to leave behind. Hide

The cottage was delightful! The garden was perfect. When I reported an issue with the cleanliness of the garden furniture which was a big part of our holiday, it was rectified on Monday morning and we could not have been happier. Great location. Stairs could be tricky for some but the rope bannisters were excellent. All in a a perfect week at Lime Read moreCottage. Hide
