Cosy and characterful, this 2-bedroom cottage is ideal for small families or a couple looking for a little extra space. The cottage benefits from a beautiful countryside location overlooking fields and what’s more, it is pet friendly too!
You are welcomed into a sitting room with dual aspect log burning stove which makes this property great for year-round retreats. Sink into the cosy corner sofa for a movie night in or to share stories of the days spent exploring. Into the dining room which also benefits from the warmth of that dual aspect log burning stove and offers a great space to make memories over a home-cooked meal. The well-equipped kitchen offers just what you need for your self-catering stay. Also on the ground floor is a handy utility space with washing machine and a ground floor shower room.
Two cosy bedrooms await upstairs, one with king size bed and one with twin beds. Full of character, the twin room has exposed timber beams and with eaves either side of the beds. The first floor is completed by the family bathroom with bath with shower attachment, WC and basin.
Kelsale is an idyllic location with delightful walks through Suffolk countryside on the doorstep. Pop into the local pub, The Poachers Pocket for a home cooked meal or, why not head into the market town of Saxmundham to stock up supplies for your stay. A short drive away, you can enjoy days by the coast at Aldeburgh, or Southwold and the RSPB Minsmere is also just a short drive away. Pub: 0.9 miles, Shop: 1.6 miles
What we love about this property: the countryside location and field views make for a truly relaxing location. The enclosed garden makes a great space for alfresco dining and its perfect for pets!

Please note, this is an older cottage and therefore has steep and narrow stairs leading to the first floor where both bedrooms are found. The property is located near to a road and therefore some noise from the road is likely.
Only six miles to the coast and eight miles to the RSPB Bird Reserve at Minsmere, Kelsale is a very quiet location which is ideal for people looking for a peaceful holiday. Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh are all within easy reach. The Poachers Pocket pub is around half a mile away and there are excellent cycling and walking paths available. Kelsale is only a mile from the historic market town of Saxmundham which has many shops, including Waitrose, as well as a train station with direct access to both Ipswich and London.
