At the start of the lane you can take in countryside views all the way to the coastal town of Southwold. This holiday cottage is a great choice for those looking for a rural location in a historical village within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Upon entering this cottage you are welcomed by the kitchen and dining area where you can enjoy your self-catering efforts. The sitting room has plenty of sofas for comfort and fantastic views across the vast garden and rolling countryside. The sitting room is a great spot for relaxing with a focal brick fireplace and its warming woodburner. The staircase to the first floor is accessed from the dining area and leads to the master bedroom which has a double bed and two twin bedded rooms along with the family bathroom.
Appletree Cottage is the perfect destination for those who share a love of the countryside as well as the coast. With its unspoilt heathland and fabulous forest there are plenty of walking trails for nature spotting. Dunwich is an unspoilt coastal village with a mainly shingle beach. Dunwich is a perfect location for relaxation in Suffolk and benefits from being close to the thriving, popular coastal towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh. The Ship Inn serves a great choice of home-cooked food and quality ales. Another close stop is the Dunwich Beach Cafe which is well known for its fish and chips - enjoyed best on the beach. Dunwich adjoins Dingle Marshes Nature Reserve, Dunwich Heath (cliff top is National Trust owned) and Minsmere RSPB is only three miles by foot. Southwold and Aldeburgh are both ten miles away. Trains and buses can be found four miles away at Darsham.

Apple tree cottage is beautifully decorated and we really felt at home. It was wonderful to wake to rabbits in the garden, and seeing them at night playing in the field opposite while having a drink on the terrasse. We will definitely come back!
Outstanding location. Perfect for walks, cycle rides and access to the sea. Hope to stay again.
