With four bedrooms sleeping up to seven guests, this spacious holiday cottage and its annexe is a wonderful place to stay in Walberswick, on the spectacular Suffolk coast. Families and small groups of friends can simply step out of the front door and make the most of the scenic trails leading through the surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Enter the single-storey main property and head straight into the open-plan kitchen/dining room, the heart of the home. With glossy units, a Neff double oven and a comfortable sofa, this social space is perfect for entertaining. It is accompanied by a large eight-seater dining table, and two sets of bi-folding doors opening directly onto the rear patio. Head through to the lounge, to appreciate the ornamental brick fireplace, alongside two stylish sofas and a TV, all framed by a large bay window and views of the front garden. When night falls, there is a king-size, twin and single bedroom, plus a family bathroom and separate WC. Just 2 metres from the back kitchen door, you’ll find a separate annexe, with twin beds that can be configured as a super-king-size bed on request, an en-suite shower room with WC, and a small utility area with a washing machine, tumble dryer and kettle. The main cottage and annexe share two gardens with outdoor furniture for al fresco dining in the sunshine.
A scenic 2-mile path from the house leads to the seaside town of Southwold. Spend a day at Southwold's sandy beach and take a stroll along the promenade to visit the iconic Grade II-listed lighthouse. For those who enjoy nature, RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve is just 8.5 miles away. Closer to home, you can explore Walberswick and its art galleries, gift shops and eateries, or have a go at crab fishing from the quay.
