Reviews

Top Deck is a perfect place to stay. Ideally located in idyllic Walberswick the panoramic views of Southwold across the estuary, dunes, marshes and the village are spectacular.

Brenda Hunt,

We have stayed in Walberswick many times, and Top Deck is one of our favourite places. We enjoyed staying for two weeks, and will definitely visit again. Top Deck is a lovely property, in an idyllic setting on the estuary in Walberswick. As guests, we always feel it gives us an opportunity to wind down, with its beautiful views and quiet location and is an ideal base from which to explore the Suffolk countryside. This latest visit has been our third, and we are already planning to return next year.

Susan Davies,

It did not matter about the freezing temperatures, rain, sleet and snow, or the gale force winds. This was the best holiday we have ever had in the UK. Having the opportunity to watch the boats going out to sea and coming home again was so relaxing, watching the sunrise through open bedroom window blinds was a fantastic start to the day and being able to walk on the beach whenever we liked (Yes- we had snow on the beach!) was invigorating. We really did not want to leave but got back home with our batteries recharged. Thank you to the owners and Heritage Hideaways for making this property available. Also location, location, location! The views made the property, including the kitchen window you could see 360 degrees and enjoy both sunrise and sunset. Not being used to stairs (we live in a flat), living on three levels took some getting used to, especially going downstairs to the toilet. The property had a well stocked, good sized kitchen (bigger than ours at home). The woolen throw, binoculars and telescope were useful. The sofa on the middle level was extremely comfortable with spectacular views (You may have guessed we loved the views). Being able to see the sunrise from our bed made my holiday.

Mrs Ison,
