This immaculate New England style weather-boarded home is tucked away on a quiet lane in the beautiful seaside village of Walberswick. With stunning landscaped gardens and a superbly stylish interior, Lampland house is a beautiful place to relax. The house sleeps six people and offers a luxurious holiday hideaway for couples or families throughout the year.


Ground floor:
A spacious hall with honed limestone floor tiles, with table and chairs for four and glazed French doors to the kitchen and living area.

Bedroom 1:
Master bedroom with ensuite shower room, king sized bed, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers, dressing table and chair, armchair and wardrobe and glazed door to garden.  Tiled shower room with thermostatically controlled fixed head shower, WC and handbasin.

Bedroom 2:
Twin bedroom with double aspect windows, chest of drawers with lamps.

Family bathroom:
Spacious room with separate bath and shower enclosure with thermostatically controlled, fixed head shower, WC and hand basin, heated towel rail.

Utility room:
Washing machine and separate dryer, storage.

Stairs to first floor open tread timber stairs with storage and hanging space under.

Kitchen and living area:
Bespoke handmade kitchen with electric AGA cooker, dishwasher, American style fridge and separate freezer, kitchen sink with mixer tap, good storage and table and chairs for six.  A Nespresso machine is also provided but please bring your own capsules. Note: There is no microwave at Lampland House.

Two, two seater sofas and coffee table, TV with integral DVD.

First floor:

This stunning room is filled with light and has three large sofas, perfect for relaxing after dinner.  Large flat screen television.

Master bedroom:
Master bedroom and ensuite shower room with shower enclosure and thermostatically controlled fixed head shower.  There is 5' double bed with headboard.  Bedside tables and lamps, built in wardrobe with hanging space and shelves, dressing table and chair.  Ensuite shower enclosure, WC and handbasin.

Gravel drive with parking for three cars, beautifully designed garden and terrace with lawns and decorative planting of shrubs and trees. 

The area: 
Walberswick is a pretty and unspoilt seaside village on the Suffolk Heritage Coast with sand dunes and beach, numerous footpaths across marsh and heathland, two excellent pubs, a variety of tea and gift shops, a well stocked village shop and the Black Dog delicatessan and the great attraction for children - crabbing. The popular Edwardian seaside town of Southwold is just across the river and can be reached easily on foot or by bicycle or by car via Blythburgh.


The house is centrally heated throughout.

Bed linen and towels are provided, but guests are reminded to bring their own towels for the beach.

There is WiFi at the property.

This was our second year at Lampland House and the property did not disappoint. Immaculately clean and beautifully furnished throughout- a delightful area to stay we loved everything about it! Sad to leave!

The property was perfect for our needs both with our weekend guests and for the rest of the time when we had it to ourselves. Lamplands is really spacious with extremely well fitted out bedrooms and bathrooms and furnished throughout with a high quality of linen and soft furnishings. We loved the decorative style so much in keeping with its seaside location and also the outdoor decking and garden areas and the well equipped spacious kitchen/dining area.

We had an excellent time. The property was extremely comfortable and in a good location- with a small supermarket and two good pubs a few minutes away. We have holidayed in the area on several occasions in recent years, so we knew our way round. We took our young grandson 'Crabbing' in the local river on a couple occasions, plus kite-flying on Walberswick beach. We enjoyed visits to Minsmere RSPB Reserve and Dunwich Heath, village and museum. We also went to Hen Reed Beds, Southwold and Snape Maltings. The property was a large, spacious, detached property, set in immaculate gardens. The house has two double en-suite bedrooms and a twin bedroom. It is well decorated, spotlessly clean and with a selection of interesting art work on display. A modern, well appointed kitchen area and a lounge are on the ground floor. On the first floor there is another lounge and access to a balcony along one side of the house- from where there are views of the sea in the distance. The garden, particularly the lawns were well presented and we had daily visits by a pheasant and on a couple occasions, a pair of Red-Legged partridges were a bonus. It was very nearly perfect, but we could not get the DVD player to work- This would have not disappointed the adults but our six year old grandson was. However, the books and games were appreciated and helped to compensate for the lack of a DVD player. Secondly (not withstanding the beautifully appointed kitchen area) we thought that a microwave oven might have been useful. Perhaps there was one provided, but we could not find it. None of this really detracted from an extremely enjoyable holiday in a stunning property, set in an immaculate garden.
