This cute two-bedroomed cottage is only 50 metres from both Southwold Beach and the bustling high street and boasts a pretty courtyard garden. Ensuring no one misses out on the fun, dogs can come too!
Just moments from the shops and shoreline, this pretty terraced cottage provides a lovely setting for family time. Step through the front door and you’re straight into the open-plan sitting/dining room, where you can curl up on the sofa for movie nights or sit down to a dinner prepared in the adjacent kitchen area. Typical in this type of property, the shower room here is on the ground floor; the upper floor is dedicated to two inviting bedrooms, each with space for clothes storage. A king-sized bed is in the first bedroom at the front of the cottage; at the rear, the second bedroom has bunk beds. There is also a separate WC on the first floor. Enjoy the sea air and sunshine in the courtyard garden complete with outdoor furniture; it’s an ideal spot for drinks or doggie downtime. You’ll find handy laundry facilities and a chest freezer in the outhouse here too.
Southwold is perfect for families, with a long sandy beach, fun-filled pier and numerous green spaces all offering somewhere to let off steam and enjoy some good old-fashioned fun. Tempting cafes, delicatessens and takeaways remove all the hard work from your self-catering stay, and there are some fabulous pubs where you can try the locally brewed Adnams offering. Just metres from your doorstep is the iconic Lord Nelson Inn, a fabulous fish and seafood bar, and an impossible-to-resist ice cream shop. For a different taste of local life, stroll along the sands to the harbour where leisure yachts and fishing boats moor; on the opposite bank of the River Blyth, Walberswick brims with character – it’s an 8-mile drive there but only minutes via the historic foot ferry.
