From the entrance hall, wander through to the lounge to settle back on the soft seating and watch TV or lose yourselves in the views. Grab your buckets and crabbing lines and walk less than 1 mile down to Southwold Harbour. Here you can go crabbing, buy fresh seafood from shacks and take the rowing boat ferry over to Walberswick, which also has a lovely beach. Walk 0.5 miles in the other direction to amble out along the pier, experience the under-the-pier show and go boating on the lake.
