This fabulous property is perfect for big family holidays or friends’ reunions. Sleeping eight adults and one child over five bedrooms in the heart of traditional seaside town Southwold, it won’t be long before you’re all off to the beach (150 metres) or taking a rest in one of the many pubs or cafes nearby. And when it’s time to go home, you’ll have this cosy holiday home to return to, where you can snuggle up in the lounge and chat with your guests or curl up with a book.
The holiday let, which is set over three storeys, is spacious and comfortable. The open-plan living area has a welcoming atmosphere, where peaceful neutral tones are blended with pastel colours in the furnishings. Escape to the snug area where you can pull a curtain between the main lounge to get some peace and quiet! The sociable cottage-style kitchen diner, decorated in pretty blues, is wonderful for family meals. On the first and second floors, bright and airy bedrooms invite you to have a tranquil night’s sleep – each floor has its own shower room, so don’t worry about morning bathroom queues!
Southwold has plenty to keep the whole family busy. Visit the Under the Pier Show (350 metres) for unique and eccentric inventions and amusements to try out, or go for some traditional fun in the arcade at the top of the pier. Grown ups might prefer a tour around the Adnams Visitor Centre (500 metres)! Further afield, the National Trust’s Dunwich Heath (11 miles) is perfect for a walk and spotting sea birds, as is RSPB Minsmere (11.5 miles). The delightful town of Aldeburgh (18 miles) is ideal for a spot of lunch at a pub or fish and chip shop, or for shopping at lots of independent boutiques.
