When on a big family holiday, you’ll want plenty of room for everyone and lots of nearby activities to keep people entertained. With this property, you get the best of both. The house is huge and will easily fit two couples and four children, or a group of friends, and you’ll have easy access to Southwold’s beach, historical locations and an amusement park.
The majority of the downstairs is devoted to an open-plan living space. This room is bright and beautiful, finished with an ornamental fire, exposed beams and a patio door for some natural light. You’ll find kitchen, dining and lounge areas so everyone can socialise in the evenings and enjoy feasts, film nights and games. There’s a separate sitting room for quiet time, and you can make it extra cosy by lighting the wood burner. There’s a ground-floor shower room for added convenience. Two of the four bedrooms are on the ground floor: a twin room and a king-size with an en-suite bathroom. Head upstairs for the remaining bedrooms, another twin and a king-size. Both of these have en-suite bathrooms, and all are comfortable and a great place to get some rest. On sunny evenings, take your meals outside to eat on the garden furniture in the walled courtyard.
Southwold is a popular destination and it’s easy to see why. The beach is about 500 metres from your front door and stretches down to the pier (0.5 miles), and you can stop off for ice cream on the way. Avid golfers will be 0.5 miles from an excellent course. Then there’s the Southwold Lighthouse, 300 metres, and the historic canon display, 0.5 miles, where you can learn about Southwold’s fascinating past.
