There are also plenty of shops plus some historical landmarks to discover – such as the Southwold Cannons and Southwold Lighthouse (all within 0.5 miles). Stroll along the waterfront on the golden sands of Southwold Beach (less than 0.5 miles) which allows dogs all year round. Continue south to reach The Denes Beach (1 mile) and beyond to Walbersick (2 miles). Take a picnic and your binoculars to Benacre National Nature Reserve (5.5 miles) for an afternoon of bird watching and walking amongst the lagoons.
