This charming Southwold coastal cottage is in a quiet spot with views over the marshes, close to the beach, cafes, shops and the pier.

Marshfields is perfect for families or friends looking for a Southwold holiday cottage away from the town. This four bedroom holiday home can sleep six guests and is ideal at any time of year,  relax in the garden in the summer or cosy up by the open fire in the cooler months. Accommodation is over two floors with stylish interiors in a palette of greys and whites with a nautical feel. The sitting room is very comfortable  with a couple of sofas and armchairs. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday in Southwold. There’s a separate dining room with table and chairs, perfect for chatting over dinner and the conservatory is an added bonus… beautifully furnished with a comfortable cane sofa and chairs and doors opening out onto the sheltered garden, a great place to relax with a coffee a book.

This area of Southwold offers the best of both worlds… close enough to stroll to the pier, build sandcastles on the beach and people watch along the prom. Take time out and explore the myriad of footpaths across the marshes or you could of course just  wander into town for a little retail therapy and a spot of lunch. Whatever you choose, this Southwold holiday home certainly ticks all the boxes!

It now fits in well with the painted beach huts, promenade and colourful flowerbeds. There is a shop, cafes and an alternative amusement arcade there. The selection of properties' hereabouts makes it an ideal location to stay in Southwold if you require quiet accommodation that is also close to the beach, town centre and the many footpaths across the marshes leading you to the less explored areas of the town.

A great home for the few days we were there - we wish we could have stayed longer. It was perfect for all three generations and roomy enough to give everyone the space they wanted. We would love to stay again. I think I have found my new reset and recharge place.
