Description

A wonderfully welcoming and elegant Victorian townhouse tucked away at the quietest edge of North Green in the Suffolk coastal town of Southwold. Mount View is an ideal retreat for a group of 5 looking to explore the delights of this picturesque area. Just a couple of doors up from the Blyth Hotel, Mount View sits in an elevated position and is accessed via a footpath by a set of steps (with handrail). Mixing the old with the new, think quirky furniture paired with white-washed walls, makes this a wonderful self-catering retreat all year round.

The front door opens onto a hallway with space for coats and shoes. Leading off from the hallway is the charming sitting room with comfortable seating and modern-retro furniture; an ideal retreat for adults wanting to sit down with a glass of wine - or for children to play a board game. Further on, the hallway opens onto the open plan living area with dining area and kitchen - A real hub of the home! Mount View is truly a property that keeps on giving... it really is deceptively spacious! If that wasn't enough, you'll also find a sunny conservatory, utility room and shower room all on the ground floor.

A staircase leads up to the first floor. Complete with 3 beautifully furnished bedrooms and a family bathroom; keep your eyes peeled for the gorgeous period features, including the original feature fireplaces!

So if you're looking for a dog-friendly holiday home, or merely a retreat to get away with friends, look no further than Mount View. Shop: 100 yards, Pub: 100 yards.

Why we love this property: Just a short walk from the wealth of independent shops, eateries and of course the sea, you too can relax at Mount View after days spent exploring this secret pocket of Suffolk. Don't forget to pack your bicycles and walking boots too - there is plenty to discover!

Reviews

We had a lovely holiday at Mount View brilliant location and so close to the town centre. Really well equipped and we enjoyed using the garden which has a lovely sunny patio

Mr S,

Lovely accommodation with every need catered for, especially in the kitchen.

Mrs F,

Mount View is well equipped and comfortable. With a lovely large enclosed garden and easy access to the common it is a great cottage if you have dogs. The owners have made a real effort and I highly recommend it.

Mrs G,

We have had a lovely week in Southwold, lovely town, lots to explore, lovely beaches and walks. Mount View has been brilliant with everything we wanted; a very well equipped house. Look forward to coming back. Thank you.

The Cohen Family,

Thank you. House just right for much, much needed holiday - really appreciated the attention to detail. Beautifully clean, welcoming and well equipped. Had a wonderful time at Dunwich, walks along the beach and around the town. We love Southwold and are looking forward to coming back when life returns to normal - or before!

The Gutteridge Family,

First week away post lockdown so slightly surreal but a great time nevertheless. Great home - very well equipped and comfortable and the weather was kind. Look forward to coming back again when all the nasty bugs have gone away!

Bilbruck Family,

The house is warm and comfortable. Very lovely beds, really comfortable. This is our first time away since lockdown and the town has a great one way system in place. The shops, pubs and restaurants have take all precautions so we felt very safe. The Lord Nelson was great for lunch - you have to book. Very good food. The White Horse in Sibton was wonderful - very safe and gorgeous food. We have walked miles and miles here and the house is perfectly placed for many dog walk options, golf course, beach, along the river, lots of options. Rose the dog has loved her stay.

Willingale Family,
