Lorne House is located in central Southwold and close by to all amenities. Built around 1870 this historic building was formally The Marquis of Lorne public house. It has now been fully modernised and tastefully refurbished to a high standard. The original picture windows help create a light and airy feel to the cottage which is comfortably furnished and well equipped. It also benefits from a sunny courtyard and has private parking for up to three cars which is much sought after in this busy seaside town. Southwold Central - The properties located in central Southwold are all within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocers with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of the year and provides quick access to the beach and of course, the lighthouse in the town is a good landmark. There is also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Don't forget that the beach is never very far away!

Well equipped comfortable property within easy reach of Southwold high street. The property consists of the ground floor with an additional twin bedroom in the basement, not the actual whole house. The welcome basket was very thoughtful, with fresh milk and the chocolates particularly delicious. Though on the main road into Southwold we were not disturbed by traffic at night.
