With quirky levels and angles, Blackshore Corner has been designed with its surroundings in mind. The calming tones of the interior create a haven for holiday makers returning from days exploring Suffolk. Exposed beams run through the property, complementing the wooden stairs.
Upstairs, guests will find the open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. Floor to ceiling windows and door flow out onto the cleverly sheltered balcony that overlooks Southwold Harbour, adjoining to the bright and inviting lounge. Guests have the choice of eating in the kitchen, on the balcony or at the six seater dining table which sits in the centre of the house. Linking the kitchen which is full of self-catering amenities and the lounge, the dining room and social areas have a communal feel and groups will be able to chat no matter what room they are in.
On the same floor, guests will find the generously sized three bedrooms and bathroom with sunken bath. Each bedroom has conveniently placed sinks and excellent storage spaces. The ground floor comes with its very own games room and table football table providing hours of fun for families and groups alike. Along with the games room, Blackshore has the added bonus of two private parking spaces and an enclosed garden. Shop: 0.75 miles Pub: 10 yards.

There are equally delightful views from the rear windows across meadows towards the town. Town centre shops and other amenities are three-quarters of a mile away (15 minutes delightful walk) across grazing meadows and the common, whilst the beach is a similar distance along the side of the Blyth River to the harbour mouth. There is a good eating pub nearby which welcomes children; an exceptional fish and chip restaurant; a tea room and all the hustle and bustle of a sailing and fishing community.

We still love Blackshore Corner - this was a return visit after a break of a few years, and it still has a certain magic, even for 17- and 20-year-old offspring who first went as small children! Really glad to see the table football is still there and working well! And the views are still fabulous. And the food at the Harbour Inn was best yet, and Mrs T's as good as ever.Mrs Penny Mullock - 9th April 2017
A great place & we enjoyed ourselves. Brilliant location.Mrs A Davis - 14th February 2017
Blackshore Corner is ideally placed for exploring Southwold, Walberswick and the marshes. Has views over river and common and we have stayed in it numerous times and will continue to do so. Always warm on arrival and a bottle of wine waiting for us. Would highly recommend this property and Suffolk Secrets. Good meal at The Red Lion in Southwold.Ms C Edmonds - 11th February 2016
Great property for winter visits because of the Boot Room facility on the ground floor. No muddy shoes or wet coats in the living area. Great opportunities to buy fresh fish on the doorstep. The Electric Cinema is a nostalgic must. Southwold Pier was great fun.Mrs A Harwood - 30th October 2015
Blackshore Corner is a great property in the fabulous Southwold. It's a bit of a walk to the town centre but we had wonderful weather for the time of year so it was a nice stroll. Suffolk Secrets were great to book with always responded to my email as prior to our holiday very quickly.Mrs Nicola Thompson - 4th October 2015
