This delectable seaside house is in the heart of Southwold, close to the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants. Beautifully decorated throughout, and even offering private parking for up to three cars, it’s a brilliant destination for couples, families and friends looking for a special coastal getaway.
Cute as a button from the outside, this terrace cottage is spacious, bright and comfortable inside, with an open-plan living space that’s really welcoming and relaxing. At one end you have a sleek kitchen with everything necessary for creating fabulous meals, and opposite there’s a dining table and a comfy sofa, plus a Smart TV to keep everyone entertained. Push back the bi-fold doors to the courtyard for a wonderful indoor/outdoor feeling. After supper you could linger here or move into the snug, which has soft sofas gathered around a Smart TV/DVD and Xbox - just the place for a cosy evening in. On the first floor you’ll find three bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a twin with 2’6” beds (king-size on request), and a double room with a built-in bed that’s accessed from one side. They share a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The decked courtyard with outdoor furniture is a lovely place in which to relax with a morning cuppa, sundowner or al fresco meal.
There’s so much to do in Southwold for children and adults. Stroll the promenade, browse the variety of small shops, try the putting green or the quirky slot machines on the pier, tour the famous Adnam’s Brewery or watch a film at the Electric Picture Palace – with its unique rising Wurlitzer organ. If you feel like heading further afield, you can hire a bike to explore the coastal scenery and surrounding villages, or catch the rowing-boat ferry across to Walberswick.
