Reviews

Spyglass is situated in a perfect location - close to the beach and close to shops and pubs. It is very well equipped, but best of all it was perfect for my elderly mother as it has a downstairs bedroom, complete with ensuite shower room. We have rented this cottage every year for 3 years and hope to return again!

Mrs E,

Perfect location with sea views. The downstairs room with ensuite was perfect for elderly parents. A short walk to shops and pubs. Very cosy at any time of year. We'd love to return.

Miss H,

This was an ideal property for my 95yr old Mother to have a short break, especially with the ground floor en-suite bedroom. She was able to negotiate the small steps between rooms OK. The back door and lobby were ideal to park a mobility walker. The sea views were lovely.

Miss B,

A lovely house in a perfect location, feels like a proper family Southwold house with character and charm rather than too modern and soulless (which some are now unfortunately). Great to have downstairs room and lovely shower room for Grandma. Sea view is to die for. Convinced me I need an induction hob! This was our second stay, will certainly be back: if it had a woodburner you would never get me out!

Dr R,

An amazing cottage with stunning views of the sea and gentle sound of the waves Very comfortable and well equipped Super beds and so welcoming

Mrs M,

Spyglass is a very comfortable cottage, ideally situated close to the beach with wonderful views of the sea and the pier, yet within close proximity of the High Street. It is very well equipped. Best of all, it has a downstairs bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, which was ideal for my elderly mother.

Mrs E,

A really lovely property. Very cosy and very well equipped. Lovely views of the sea. Only downsides were an unfathomable oven (extremely difficult to work out) a slightly unfathomable shower and wooden saddles on the floor of the doorways thus creating potential trip hazards. A member of the party was elderly and we took the property because of the downstairs bedroom (which was wonderful) so felt disappointed by the interior raised levels. However, a very warm and comfortable cottage nonetheless.

Ms C,

A very welcome break. A very cosy property in a glorious central position in Southwold. Loved having morning tea in bed looking out over the sea. Superb!
