A fantastic cottage set within a former village high school just 1.5 miles from Southwold. Offering easy access to attractions across the Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB, and featuring an open-plan lounge/diner and private lawned gardens, this dog-friendly cottage is perfect for families keen to enjoy an active holiday in stunning surroundings.

The two-storey cottage is finished to an incredibly high standard, its welcoming rooms filled with colourful and contemporary soft furnishings helping to create a relaxing atmosphere at every turn. The open-plan lounge/diner glows in natural light that pours in from an original school window during the day: a great place to relax after a long day exploring the coast. Foodies will be in their element amongst the equipment in the Shaker-style kitchen, creating memorable feasts using locally-sourced ingredients. The cottage’s two bedrooms - an en-suite double and a twin - are inviting areas featuring statement artwork and carpeted flooring, with a striking family bathroom just beyond. Outside, fire up the BBQ in the enclosed rear garden while the children play with the dog, or just sit back and relax in the sun while reflecting on a day well spent.

Head out on foot or bicycle along the numerous trails branching out from Reydon (1 mile) towards the coast and open countryside. The Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB is littered with attractive towns and villages offering dog- and family-friendly amenities, with seaside towns like Southwold and Walberswick (within 10 miles) close to nature reserves.

Great place to stay, quiet enough to hear an owl hooting on our late evening walk; the garden is secure enough to let a small dog run around without fear of it wriggling under the gate (although ours was initially puzzled by the fake lawn which I'm not a fan of in real life but for a holiday cottage in the country at this time of year, it made perfRead moreect sense). The cottage is well kept and clean, well equipped and within a reasonable walk of two local shops. We didn't use the garage as there was sufficient parking outside the property. We have stayed in a few cottages in the Southwold area in recent years and this is one of the best; definitely recommend to others and would definitely return. Hide

The cottage is away from the bustle of Southwold, yet only a few minutes' drive away and well placed for visits to Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Halesworth. Extremely comfortable and lovely and light. It had everything we needed and was a cosy base to return to. The garden was sunny and ideal for sitting out with a drink.

We had a lovely stay at Wisteria cottage. It would have been nice if some Tea, Coffee and Milk were provided on arrival.

When we entered the property there was a smell that wasnt very nice and hard to work out what it was as everywhere looked very clean. It did go once the doors were open. We later discovered it was a really stinky hoover that smelled of pungent dirty dogs when you used it. This needs a good clean of the filters. The boxed in stairs are a really danRead moregerous hazard on the ground floor where it sticks out at a low level. My wife hit her head badly when going to the bookshelf. There needs to be a warning for this. Tv was too from the seating for us oldies. Our sight not so good. Garden was perfect and secure. Location was perfect for Southwold. Beautiful old building and very bright. Furniture and decor a little dated in the lounge. Twin room looks lovely. Bedroom lovely too. The shelves in the en suite are loose and need tightening as they slope. Everything kept falling off. Just a few minor things that could easily rectified and we would have scored full. We would love to stay here again snd would definately recommend to our friends. Hide
