A bird lover’s haven! Marsh Cottage Hide is a lovely holiday cottage adjoined to the owners' home. This fantastic cottage is situated on a quiet lane off a private track in the village of Reydon and is ideal for a romantic escape. Marsh Cottage Hide has some truly fantastic views of Southwold as well as the Blythburgh Marshes, with its abundant variety of birdlife such as Marsh Harriers, Barn Owls, Bitterns and Egrets. It is a perfect location if you prefer a peaceful environment; however, being adjacent to trails across to Southwold, Walberswick and beyond.
Marsh Cottage Hide is particularly spacious having a large open plan room on the ground floor. This room is surrounded by large window panes allowing plenty of natural light and of course the incredible views. A large brick fireplace houses a lovely woodburning stove for cosy evenings indoors in the cooler season. The small but perfectly formed kitchen and dining area has everything guests could desire during their self-catering retreat. Upstairs a fabulous double bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, large vaulted window and handy En-Suite – a restful night’s sleep is sure to please after a busy day exploring the Heritage Coast.
Southwold Harbour is merely a fifteen minute walk from Marsh Cottage Hide and Southwold a twenty-five minute walk. There is an outside patio area and also an acre of land up a straight hill where you can sit and take in the views. Shop: 1 mile Pub: 1 mile.

Reydon is only divided from Southwold by Buss Creek, a narrow stretch of water where the fishing boats of long ago used to tie up. All properties have easy access to the beaches and town centre amenities by road or the various footpaths. Reydon boasts two well stocked village stores as well as the Randolph Hotel which has an excellent restaurant and friendly bar.

This property is wonderful, warm and comfortable. A little out of the way for some people but not for us, situated right on the marshes. Perfect for walking and wildlife. An OS map of the area is a must.
The property is located in an ideal location for walking and viewing wildlife.Its the perfect getaway for a quiet relaxing holiday.
A beautifully appointed, spacious, secluded hideaway, with welcome treats of coffee, milk, biscuits, crisps and drinks on arrival. There's instant access to a network of footpaths allowing you to explore the whole area without needing to use your car. A small meadow behind the cottage has seating so you can watch the sunsets. We saw wild deer near the cottage during our stay. A 20 minute walk and you are in the lovely old town of Southwold. This property exceeded our expectations in every way so we highly recommend it.
