Barton House is a recently renovated holiday cottage situated in a residential area of Reydon just moments away from the charming seaside town of Southwold. Enjoy a simple twenty minute walk into Southwold or take the scenic footpaths across the marshes to Southwold Common and the Harbour.
Barton House has been uplifted and transformed with a spacious, bright feel using contemporary furnishings and a fresh colour palette with a seaside vibe. You are welcomed into a spacious hallway with plenty of room for coats and shoes. There are two further doors, one for accessing the garage and the other a handy cloakroom. Into the large ‘L’ shaped sitting room and dining area, this room is beautifully decorated with blue tones and coastal artworks. The kitchen can be found just off the dining area which comes fully equipped with all cooking essentials and many appliances with some being accessible via the garage.
From the sitting room is the conservatory – a perfect little suntrap which overlooks the well-tended garden. This is a great space for enjoying some peace quiet. The garden is split into two equally attractive areas – initially you will find a lawn area with cleverly positioned trees and shrubs giving this section a secluded feel and just beyond this area is a generous patio with plenty of garden benches supplied for soaking up the Suffolk sunshine.
All bedrooms and the family bathroom can be found up the carpeted staircase on the first floor. Fresh and clean, each bedroom is decorated in a neutral colour palette providing a relaxing and peaceful haven for a good night’s sleep. The family bathroom is fully tiled with white gloss tiles and comes complete with a bath and over-bath shower.
Barton House is a fantastic holiday cottage which is the perfect place for exploring Southwold either on foot or by bicycle. Alternatively you can opt to take the bus which stops just twenty five yards from the cottage. The popular Randolph Hotel is within easy walking distance for sampling an Adnams Ale or two and the local village shop is just half a mile away. Shop: 0.5 miles Pub: 0.3 miles.
Why We Love This Property
The garden is sure to be popular with the right hand side having a large wall and the left being fenced making it a great area for kids to play and four-legged friends to roam freely. The owners also supply a barbecue which is the perfect addition to al-fresco dining during the summer.

Reydon is only divided from Southwold by Buss Creek, a narrow stretch of water where the fishing boats (busses) of long ago used to tie up. All properties therefore have easy access to beaches and town centre amenities by road and various footpaths. Reydon boasts two well-stocked village stores, as well as the Randolph Hotel which has an excellent restaurant and good locals' bar.
