Well situated at the coast end of a quiet, side street this was an ideal base for our holiday. Still near to amenities with a well stocked supermarket at the far end of the street this property had everything needed for a relaxing break. Comfortable main bedroom with a well equipped kitchen, little sunny garden, and a light living/dining area. Powerful shower and very clean throughout. I would recommend for a couple/ or family with one child. Close to Southwold amenities by a few minutes walk either by road, or by a path to the beach huts. We had a very relaxing time and there is plenty to see nearby - eg Sutton Hoo, Jimmy's Farm and quaint seaside resorts, such as Thorpeness _ Aldeburgh.
We were delighted with our stay at Ataraxia, where no effort had been spared for our comfort and enjoyment. Every detail had been carefully prepared. The property was exceptionally clean, warm and enticing and the 'Welcome Pack' which greeted our arrival was a very nice touch and appreciated. We spent seven nights here in all and were very much 'at home' throughout. Southwold is well known to us and its charms always 'entice' but the delights of Aldeburgh, Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Woodbridge etc are not too far away and we were certainly not short of places to go, both near and far, which made for a most enjoyable week. We would most certainly recommend this cottage. This is our first encounter with 'Suffolk Secrets' but we would highly recommend the company for providing an excellent and attentive service at a reasonable cost, both before and during our visit.
