Description

Set in the picturesque Suffolk countryside with farmland views, yet just a 10 minute drive to the nearest beach, The Granary is a characterful barn conversion offering self-catering accommodation for up to 6 guests. This beautiful barn has retained much of its characterful charm with original timber rafters and exposed brickwork; combine this with it being beautifully furnished and you truly do have a treat for the eyes and for your comfort! The Granary is the perfect holiday cottage for families, groups of friends, or a group of couples looking for a break away to enjoy the Suffolk coast and countryside.

The Granary has been furnished to offer a touch of luxury, boasting underfloor heating, leather sofas and spoiling guests with a bathroom to bedroom ratio. A large open plan kitchen/diner offers the ideal space for getting your party together for a home cooked meal and it is well-equipped with everything you need for your stay. A convenient ground floor wet room is the ideal space for a rinse down after a muddy walk! When you’re ready to wind down for the day then a large sitting room offers comfortable leather sofas and a TV with DVD player – cosy up here and perhaps enjoy a movie night in. Upstairs you will find three spacious bedrooms – the master bedroom boasts a plush king size bed and an ensuite shower room, there is a lovely double bedroom, and a twin bedroom with zip and link beds so these can be made up as a king on request (please do let us know at time of booking if required for your stay and we’ll get it sorted).

You’ll find everything you need here at The Granary. The owners have ensured the property is exceptionally well equipped for an easy and relaxing stay. If you require a stair gate, travel cot, bed guard or highchair for your party then these can all be requested – please do just ask at time of booking. A large shared garden with BBQ and garden furniture awaits at the front of The Granary and the space enjoys beautiful rolling farmland views. Imagine yourself out here enjoying those Suffolk sunsets with a glass of wine in hand!

With a truly idyllic spot in this part of the Suffolk countryside and bordering the coast, The Granary offers both a touch of luxury and convenience for your stay. There are many ways to enjoy this area, whether that’s on two feet, two wheels or four wheels, there’s plenty to do locally. Walks and fantastic cycle rides surround and there is a shed available for storing your bikes. If you’re looking to explore the coast too, then Kessingland beach is just a 10 minute drive away, and the ever-popular Southwold beach and pier, just a 15 minute drive away. You won’t be short of things to pack into your stay at The Granary. Fields of barley, wildflowers, and beautiful Suffolk sunsets mean that you are sure to enjoy a very scenic stay and there is wonderful wildlife and birdlife too, with the owners of The Granary being part of the Higher Level of the Environmental Stewardship Scheme which encourages native plants and improves habitats for wildlife, birds and insects. Depending on the time of year, you’ll hear skylarks singing and the swallows sweeping by. If you want to explore the farm further then there are tracks and paths to wind your way along. Perhaps you’ll catch a glimpse of a sparrow-hawk or spot the rabbits making a dash for their burrows, plus much more! Pub: 0.8 miles Shop: 1.7 miles
