Friday Street Farm
When staying in one of our self-catering holiday cottages, we think it's wonderful to have the cupboards and fridges full of local foods and ingredients. Close to Aldeburgh and Southwold, Friday Street Farm works closely with local suppliers, as well as growing their own foods, ensuring their shop is stocked with high-quality products from in and around Suffolk, many of them including products from small family businesses. As well as everyday essentials, Friday Street Farm's shop supplies fresh fruit and veg, greeting customers with wonderful smells as the enter the shop, fine wines and ciders including drinks from Adnams and St. Peters, and have recently opened their very own butchers. The shop also has a permanent on-site fish monger and seasonally customers can pick their own soft fruit. Friday Street Farm has years of experience stocking the best products possible having supplied to the local community since 1976.
If you can’t wait to get back to your home away from home and try all of this scrumptious Suffolk goodness, then why not stop at Friday Street’s Café Restaurant. Almost all of the food is made on site, including their succulent sausage rolls made with hand-rolled pastry and sausage meat from pigs that are weaned just down the road. Prepare yourself for a full day of exploring the county with Friday Street’s ‘Hearty Suffolk Breakfast’, or treat yourself to a slice of homemade cake. Foods from Friday Street Farm are the cherry on top to an authentic Suffolk holiday.
