Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum
The Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum preserves and protects the regions aviation history and really is a hidden gem that all generations of the family can enjoy. Located close to the River Waveney just outside Bungay, the museum was established in 1972 and is run by a team of enthusiastic volunteers. The collection of aircraft, artefacts and photographs on display at the museum has grown steadily since the museums conception and the 8 acres and various hangars and buildings are now home to some 66 aircraft including an English Electric Lightning, Sea Harrier and the cockpit of an Avro Vulcan Bomber.
Children are encouraged to explore this fascinating world and can sit in the cockpits of several of the aircraft. The NAAFI café serves a selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks and homemade cakes, and there a charming gift shop to end your visit.
