Situated in a tranquil location in the Suffolk countryside, this characterful Grade II-listed cottage has been thoughtfully decorated throughout to create a cosy, warm and welcoming escape for couples retaining many of its original features. The charming market town of Framlingham lies 7 miles away where days can be spent wandering through the streets in search of the finest cafes, or visiting the historic English Heritage Site of Framlingham Castle.

You’ll feel immediately at home stepping into the living room with its plush sofa, exposed brick fireplace and beautiful beams lining the ceiling. In the evenings, light the wood burner, pop a film on the TV and snuggle up on the sofa for a romantic evening in. Right beside the window, you’ll also find a quaint table and chairs for two which is a scenic place to sit and enjoy a meal with one another. Next door is the country-style kitchen full of quaint features including a traditional wood burner set into an alcove. Upstairs, on the first floor, is the lovingly decorated master bedroom, boasting a king-size bed and ornate windows, as well as the bathroom. The bathroom includes a comfortable bathtub and a relaxing rainfall shower for refreshing. Up the second staircase you’ll find the final bedroom, with a single bed and a desk. The garden is a lovely private courtyard area with seating for four, a BBQ and a small stretch of lawn.

Ideally situated to enjoy both the coast and the countryside, within just 15 miles you can be on the sandy beach of Southwold, strolling along the promenade and eating tasty ice creams with gorgeous views of the seaside. Take a trip to RSPB Minsmere (7 miles) to explore the coastal nature reserve which is home to some of the UK’s rarest wildlife in the diverse habitats of woodland, grassland, heath and more. Alternatively, head to Dunwich (13 miles) for a wander through the ancient forest to soak in the natural beauty of this part of the country.

Had a fab stay at Perry Acres for a long weekend. Well equipped and cosy cottage! Very clean, a comfy bed and a good shower. Shame we didn't get to use the courtyard as the weather was rubbish but I can imagine it would be lovely In the sunshine! In a lovely quiet location but only about 10 minutes from Framlingham for all the amenities you need. ERead moreven though we were a very last minute booking there was still a welcome gift of crisps, local wine, milk and bottled water as well as plenty of wood for the log burner. Perry Cottage was just perfect! Very well decorated, cosy place to sit and have a log fire. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a massive bath and great shower. It was in a brilliant location for walks and exploring the towns and villages of Suffolk.

We have enjoyed our week here and thank you for the treats. Such a comfortable and cosy cottage to return to after a days exploration in Suffolk. Our first visit, but not our last. Lovely means too. It was a pleasure to visit your very comfortable cottage and lucky to have some autumnal weather. We revisited some of our favourite haunts especially Aldeburgh. We visited the office in Southwold as the information in the cottage said we would be welcomed, we were not. Two people in the office, man asked if he could help us but the conversation was conducted while his eyes were on his computer and he was typing. The woman remained silently working. First impressions count, this was not a good impression.

Probably the cleanest cottage we have ever stayed in. Our only issue was the check in and out time. I know the owners have to have time to clean the premises but checking out is far too early, I would expect 10.0am to be the earliest.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. Absolutely perfect and so clean. Our first visit to Suffolk and we will be back.
